Dating to marry a Chinese woman? Make sure you’re with a woman who’s looking for marriage too.
How can you find out if you can’t even speak the same language? After all many Chinese ladies aren’t looking for a husband.
Rest easy – there are some solid tell-tale signs that she wants to be your Chinese wife.
These signs come about when you’re dating so look for these things.
She Introduces You To Her Social Circle
Has she asked you if you want to meet her friends? Chinese ladies that want to just have fun with you will hardly ever mention you to them.
One time I was dating an Asian woman and after I asked to meet her friends she went quiet. I never did meet her friends. Needless to say we didn’t go beyond just dating even though we had been together for a year. Ah well…:)
She might have mentioned you to her friends. If not you can always gently hint at wanting to them. If she agrees to it then chances are she’s open to a more serious relationship with you.
She Introduces You To Her Parents
In the West it’s more casual to introduce your new date or girlfriend to your parents. Not so in China. When dating Asian women it’s a big deal for them to tell their parents about you.
If you want marry a Chinese woman you’ll have to casually ask to meet her parents. She might even mention it herself.
In any case you can expect her to mention introducing your parents either within the first couple of months of dating or if you mention it first.
She’ll Propose To You!
Sometimes your Chinese date might want to marry you and will do everything to make it happen.
A friend of mine’s Chinese girlfriend invited him to meet her mother.
She wanted to get married to him after a few weeks of dating (a bit fast for me personally.)
On the positive side you can marry a Chinese woman this way.
On the flip side she might just be going through that “gotta get married” phase and isn’t particularly picky about who she marries (hence she’s picked…you?)
She might even hold out from making love to you until you agree to marry her. Yikes!
This might bad news for you because your personality and/or character might not have been what attracted her to you.
In other words – she could end up walking all over you.
Anyways…
“Could You Still Marry Her If She Doesn’t Do This?”
There is always a chance that she might still want to marry you but doesn’t know how to go about it. She also might do things you wouldn’t appreciate.
For example your soon-to-be Chinese wife might hold back from getting more intimate during your first 6 months of dating.
This can happen since she’s not sure how you do it in your culture. Or she just might nervous. Or she might just expect you to make all the moves like in the Western movies.
