3 Mistakes You Could Make
Live in the land of the morning calm and find Korean ladies gorgeous?
Whether it’s summer or winter – they look good AND are looking for a good guy to date. But what can you do to be that ‘good’ guy? How come things haven’t been working out so far?
After all…you are a good guy, right? 😉
After 5 years as a dating coach in Korea this is what I’ve found to be the biggest mistakes guys make for dating women from Korea.
Mistake #1 – You Fell Into The ‘Asian Ladies Are “Easy”‘ Myth
In the West we hear that ‘Asian women are “easy”‘ and believe it.
We come to Korea only to find out that it’s not the case. I know I fell big time for this outright lie.
How does that make you feel?
Even worse than trying to date back home.
It’s one thing if you expected the dating scene to be as tough as back home (if not more so). It’s another when Korean girls look so stunning and innocent…and yet the roadblocks you face for a date are hard to spot.
This frustrates a lot of expats in Korea. It sure did me!
So expect the dating scene to be a challenge and you’ll more likely do well with dating in Korea.
If things are difficult then that’s normal…even IF you have a good job and money to boot.

Mistake #2 – You’ve Limited Your Dating Market
Most expats who come to a new country know nothing about the language and culture. Korea is no exception.
That’s understandable but a pity.
Why?

What if you bump into Korean woman you want to get to know…but the language barrier stops both of you in your tracks?
The cultural misunderstandings hurts as well. You know that she acts differently but you’re not quite sure why. She isn’t as chatty as a woman back home or maybe she doesn’t respond well to you wanting to shake her hand.
In any case another mistake that guys make in Korea is to get lazy with learning the culture and language. Worse still – they expect the local women to learn theirs!

Mistake #3 – You Aren’t Talking To Korean Women
A lot of guys limit themselves because they don’t talk to enough women. This might be because they’re not comfortable talking to new people. Or perhaps they’re not sure of what to say or do.
What about you? If you see a sexy girl from Korea behind you at the supermarket queue – would you start a conversation? Would you give her a thumbs up for choosing your line? 😉
Maybe you’ve had local guys (or anyone) criticize you when you were talking to a Korean woman and that left an impression on you. I know that that has hurt me more than I care admit. ><
Or maybe you currently live in a small Korean town that doesn’t have a lot of women.

Granted some of these are mistakes you were probably making back home as well. The only difference is that now you have to deal with a new culture and lifestyle. You also have to deal with watching all those gorgeous Korean girls pass you by while doing nothing! ><
